  • American Solar Energy Society promotes the widespread near-term and long-term use of solar energy. ASES publishes the monthly journal Solar Today as well asrelated books and reports, and provides solar factsheets and links on their site.

  • California Solar Center provides solar information and activities for California

  • Florida Solar Energy Center provides outstanding information, research and standards on solar and energy efficient technologies.

  • Million Solar Roofs (MSRI) is a U. S. DOE initiative to install solar energy systems on one million U.S. buildings by 2010. The initiative includes two types of solar technology: solar electric systems (or photovoltaics) that produce electricity from sunlight and solar thermal systems that produce heat for domestic hot water, space heating, or heating swimming pools.

  • Northern California Solar Energy Association (NorCalSolar) is a nonprofit volunteer based education and advocacy group promoting the use of solar energy in place of fossil fuels.  For 30 years NorCal Solar has used grassroots networking and education to advance the cause of renewable energy. Current programs include coordinating the annual Solar Homes Tour (in association with the American Solar Energy Society); publishing an annual Solar Energy Resource Guide; publishing newsletters in print and on the web; staffing an education booth at major environmental events; grassroots advocacy for pro-solar policies; and sponsoring networking events.

  • North Carolina Solar Center Created in 1988, the North Carolina Solar Center serves as a clearinghouse for solar and other renewable energy programs, information, research, technical assistance, and training.

  • Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) is a regional professional membership organization educating on clean electricity, green transportation, and green buildings.
